Fortune Bonus

Many casinos have an optional bonus bet on Pai Gow Poker and the most popular is the Fortune Bonus. At our dealing school, we will introduce you to several bonus bets, including the Fortune Bonus. See the chart below for the fortune bonus payouts.

Most casinos will pay bonus hand even if it’s split up. For instance, if a player has a straight, but plays two pair instead, breaking up the straight, the player will still be paid on the straight.

The “envy bonus” in the table above refers to a player who bets at least $5 on the fortune bonus. When this occurs, place a lamer that says “envy” next to the player’s bonus bet. (You don’t need to remove the envy bonus after every hand; simply remove it when the player decides not to bet $5 or more on the fortune bonus.) In the event that another player receives one of the large hands (such as the royal flush), all players who bet at least $5 or more on their own bonus bet will receive an envy payout. You will pay the envy to all players last.
